thanks for the good comments! @cat - yes, those are sun rays and the tops are also being blown off the waves - it's hard to differentiate between them - perhaps a more tele lens would have helped.
@donna - yeah - crazy that this is malibu but it was a good storm, which is our favorite time to shoot. a bit of a bitch with the LF gear...trying to keep the sand out. but it was so much fun!
Art those rays coming down from the sky?! Love the darkness of the waves and kelp and the whiteness of the spray and "rays." Nice!
